Ubud, botany class with Dewi

This week, I attended a botany class, to make your own natural products from plants and balinese flowers, 100% natural. An exciting program, which I liked very much.

Rendez-vous at Dewi’s small shop and workshop, she conducts the class and makes a range of natural products for sell in her shop. So I learned how to make a shampoo with sacred flowers, a face scrub from rice and tomato, a balinese tiger balm and a face care with aloe vera.

I really loved learning the technics to make your own beauty products, I also liked to go back home with my own hand-made products, with the written recipes on a paper sheet and a small bottle of magnolia essential oil that smells like heaven, bought in the shop.

An interesting and useful activity to do in Ubud, because Dewi is really the nicest, and also she has a fair-trade agreement with the local farmers, from who she buys the ingredients, and to who she gives back a part of the price of the class.

A wonderful way to learn about Bali and its legendary, ancestral beauty secrets !
