Warung Goûthé in Canggu, Berawa street is already an institution which opened just one year ago. Run by a french-indonesian couple, for a cuisine somewhere between fusion and classic french and indonesian dishes.
I already went there twice and I plan to go again this week to bring a friend who doesn’t know this place yet. Either for lunch or tea-time, you will find what you want in Warung Goûthé, always.
The lunch menu is really well thought, with a single meal of the day and a choice of paninis very well stuffed, with french and indo recipes. I tried the babi kecap panini (a slow cooked pork and spices recipe) which is to die for, and the chicken mustard panini which is also very tasty.
About the sweets, you an choose from a selection of french desserts and beautiful fluffy brioches, that you can also buy for take away, whole or half. The crème caramel is delicious as well, and I can’t wait to try the pavlova, because it wasn’t available last time I went there.
Warung Goûthé is a great place for the days when you feel like eating a good piece of cake or when you just want to eat something good and tasty, with great and balanced flavors, a real Chef’s work, with fair prices.
Just take your motorbike and go to Warung Goûthé, but if there is only one pavlova left, don’t take it, it’s for me!!
13/01/17 update :
And my dream came true!! The pavlova is back on the menu at Warung Goûthé, so here I am already enjoying this truly amazing dessert, light and smooth meringue, perfect whipped cream, exotic fresh fruits and strawberry coulis to die for, with mint leaves that give the perfect end. So, it was worth waiting, definitely.
I think I have a new favorite dessert and this is going to last for a long time !
