Discovering Barcelona is a long matter, as there is so much to see in the city an around. The 1st of November is a holiday here too, and it was the perfect day to go and see the bunkers del Carmel, in the morning when everybody else is hangovered from last night party! Because there’s nothing better than being alone or so in a touristy place, the experience is completely different.
As I get quickly tired of the urban life, the way to go to the bunkers allowed me to breathe a bit, as it was very green, with flowers and trees around. The Carmel is a neighborhood on the heights of Barcelona, close from the park Güell.
These bunkers were built during the Spanish Civil War, they were used to watch and protect the city against bombing. It has been restored in 2010 and since then it’s a well-known place in Barcelona.
The city, the sea and the hills around are all here, under this little roof of Barcelona, one of the best views you can have from the city.
Do you already know the bunkers del Carmel ?
